or, Jebus Freaking Christmas

Now, I was always taught not to make fun of how other people dress, because you never know their circumstances & that everyone dresses the best they can afford. And I do stick to this, because I've been there. I've not had much $ at times in the past & had to dress the best I could at the time - but always appropriate for whatever work environment I was in.

And there is a difference in dressing the best you can on what you make, versus dressing like you have no sense in what's appropriate for an office.

Example:

Has your coworker ever come to work with her hair in pigtails? I'm not talking about two little braids. I mean full-on pigtails - a part down the middle and hair in a ponytail on either side of the head. My coworker must've woke up this morning & smoked crack, because she came to the office with her hair in pigtails, wearing no makeup, dressed in a red stripe tshirt, faded bellbottom stretchy jeans, and white sneakers peeking out from under the bellbottoms. She looks like she's 5 and her mommy dressed her then dropped her off at the office. I cannot fathom what got in her head today to make her think 'hey, this is a good look for a single working mom in her mid-20s trying to get by at the office while hunting for a better job'.

I'm not saying I haven't worn some ensembles in the past that afterward made me go 'ew...why'd I wear that?', but nothing like this.

So, do you think it's bad for a single mother in her mid twenties to wear her daughter's pink ladybug barretes in her hair? Just wondering.......

It wouldn't do for us all to be the same, good for her, for breaking the mould
